Well, I'm 18.
It's pretty fun I suppose.
The month leading up to my birthday I dreaded, because, come on..18. Like what is good about 18? It's almost as awkward as 16. Wasn't really looking forward to it.

Buuutt my birthday way pretty spectacular and being an adult...[uh that word still makes me cringe] is pretty neat.

8am:
Woke up to Sally's annoying alarm (someday from the august rush soundtrack), followed by a "Ellie wake up" and "Ellie you have to be ready by nine".
Huh?
and a response from me "I'm not waking up this early its my birthday". yes, already pulling the bday card...but it didn't work.
I did what she said and soon after nine I was blindfolded and stuck in a car... & I didn't even get to talk to whoever was driving the car because they wouldn't talk to me....like oh okay..

9:30am:
Stopped in a parking lot and I heard the glorious voice of Ryan! "okay you can get out"
Like holla at my sadies date!
We ate breakfast at village inn and it was delightful.
Following that we headed back to his house (apparently he was stalling me). & after leaving he told me to put on the blindfold again, so I was like okay sure. We drove around and then pulled into a driveway.
We got out of the car and getting from the car to inside wherever we were was like being guided through an active land mine... blind, it was scary and I probably looked like a chicken walking so cautiously. But we made it in one piece and headed down some stairs anddddd

11am:
"SURPRISE!".
I took off the blindfold to see all my sweet friends gathered to celebrate me.
like wow
i felt soooo loved!
it was truly wonderful.

ya it was pretty great & sal is pretty great for throwing me a surprise party. Loves on loves for that girl!

The rest of that day was wonderful and I got to spend it with some truly amazing people!
Thank you all my dear friends and family for making it soooooooooooooooooo special & thank you all for blowing up my phone with such sweet messages it made my day!

oh the other hand......
One year until I can serve the Lord. I am so excited.
I know it will be hard, but I have been sooo blessed by having the gospel in my life- it has brought me so much happiness and I want share that with others and allow them to feel the love of our savior!
Ya okay 18 will be pretty great.

temple thurs.

Yesterday morning em, ash & i went to the temple. It was way fun and I'm so glad to have friends to attend the temple with.. especially at 5am. They rock.

love love loove the Logan temple. It's beyond beautiful. I love how basically from anywhere in the valley you can see it. It's such a great reminder for me to be the best I can & to always be worthy to enter.

soo grateful for temples. 

After that we headed to school.

School is great. 

So good. 

I love it. Yayayaya sr year whoot whoot. 

sal & i found this great tv show on netflix. I haven't watched a lot of tv since starting school this year, but this rekindled my love for Netflix. 

Netflix I heart u. 

We've been staying up late each night to watch it and I'm dying to now buuuutttt sal is gone and I couldn't watch it without her (you're welcome Sally). 

ha I almost made it one week without poblanos but jk I caved and got it for lunch today. Ohhh sweet pork quesa you are good to me. Oh & can't forget the quac. It's better than chipotle. Ya. It's good. 

Oh ya I cut like 5 inches off my hair. 

That stunk.

It still stinks. 

& I'm pretty sad about it, but taking life one day at a time seems to be working. Idk why I did it but I did and now I feel bald.

Maybe I'll go make pie now because my soul is longing for it & we learned how to make it at young women's and it was delightful. Oh & it'll make me feel better since I'm practically bald now.. I'll have to put the recipe on here because it's heaven && easy so that's good 

oct/nov according to my iphone

1.  halloween was fun. so fun. it consisted of dance parties, timmer, and no candy

2.  we're seniors & thats really weird. s/o to corry j. check out his ig because he's pretty cool & has awesome photos @corryjhomeslice

3.  sal & i got our wisdom teeth out- so here's a pretty pic so you don't have to see us as chipmunks

4.  got to see my good friend josh. partied just like old times

5.  weekend trip to provo w these pretty gals + tarjhey. we love tarjhey

6.  benjamin. he rocked it this football season + he's a pal

7.  selfie- i have a good excuse though. i cut my hair. you know only like 4 inches, but it may as well be ten inches bc i feel bare and i just love my hair. it was hard

8.  xmas can never come too early. crew minus two

i've lived on the coast all my life & am now taking it inland to ut.

i'm pretty easy going & that's how i hope to take this blog- easy going and not too serious.
i like things detailed, messy, whimsical, classy, uplifting, & balanced in an offbeat way. but most of all simple.

i'm trying things out as a photographer, so i'll probably post a lot of photos, but i'll try and make visiting on here worth while :)
